Choosing Items for Your Still Life:
Choose pieces in a variety of colors. Think about textures and most importantly SHINE! The more highlights and shadows on the candy or wrapper the better the drawing will look.

Setting up your still life:
Think about the levels- placing them at different heights. Clear containers (glass) or ceramic plates work great with the shine and colors of the candy. Always place objects using the RULE OF THIRDS! Also, never center your focus piece!
